The Bonifacio Corsica Island France Tour is a full day excursion to Bonifacio in Corsica also includes the opportunity to visit the northern part of Sardinia before you sail over to Corsica. After reaching the port, our ferry crosses the Bonifacio Strait, which is the stretch of water that separates Corsica from Sardinia. This small stretch of water is home to some of the most breathtaking views you’ll ever see and continues to be a tourist trap for those visiting this part of Italy. Crossing the Bonifacio Strait lasts around an hour.

Bonifacio is located on the picturesque French Island of Corsica. It’s a fantastic place to visit for anyone who wants to experience the quintessential Mediterranean island life. With its striking views and historical sites, it is one of the most popular destinations for tourists.

If you have time and would like a beautiful excursion, take our trip through this beautiful landscape. You’ll be able to see various aspects of the area, including the distinctive white limestone cliffs, the little town on top of a hill called Bonifacio which can be seen across the whole port all the way to where it meets with the Strait. You’ll also see this breathtaking nature that’s typical for the area, architecture that’s unique to these places, and souvenirs where each item is handmade.

When we finish our sailing on the open ocean and taking in the view of the spectacular town of Bonifacio hanging above the blue sea, we arrive in this picturesque port.

The Marina has straight, brightly-colored houses lining the port with many different restaurants, bars & souvenirs shops. There are also several shops with luxury yachts which make it a popular place to walk around and admire.

The harbor is an important part of this town. It’s connected to the old part of the town by a series of steps that are not too steep for most people to walk up and down. The steps do get quite narrow in some stretches that we recommend standing tall and holding the handrail to prevent slipping or tripping. The old, charming city has narrow, stone paved streets that are perfect for picture-taking. You can see a beautiful view of the northern coast of Sardinia and the La Maddalena archipelago when you look out from the top.

Bonifacio is a beautiful city with an interesting history. The island of Corsica, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, has a lot to offer for both history buffs and nature enthusiasts. The Bonifacio town was the place where Napoleon Bonaparte lived for a while. He was just an ambitious soldier at that point and didn’t conquer the Corsica Island yet.

You will find a square where the fish market used to take place, grain stores and the cathedral which dates back to the 12th century.

You may decide to visit also the famous King of Aragon‘s steps: The walkway that stretches 167 steps out of the sheer rock connecting the town with the sea level or the old fortress, is a much-needed addition to this place.

Besides having a chance to take in some of the sights and sounds of this beautiful historic town, travelers will also have the opportunity to shop for some typical souvenirs: chestnut ice cream, chestnut beer, earrings with small shells, objects made with cork, and more.

The Bonifacio Corsica Island France Tour is a day trip from Sardinia that takes you to visit some important sights in Bonifacio. You will also have time to walk around and enjoy this beautiful place. It has a beautiful corsican beach that can be visited with a tour or boat.

The La Maddalena Archipelago is one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean Sea. It consists of a group of 18 small islands with crystal clear water, turquoise beaches and lush vegetation. The archipelago is only 30 km from Sardinia’s coast and can be easily reached by boat.

The National Park was established in 1994 and is a whole area that is protected. The NPS protects the resources of the area in order to preserve them for future generations.

The archipelago is located in the Mediterranean Sea, at the southernmost point of Corsica and near to an equally small island that is a part of Sardinia. Both islands are a part of France and both islands consist of a chain of smaller islands.

The Maddalena archipelago is composed of 7 major islands : La Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano – that was home to a US Navy base for 30 years – Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli, Santa Maria and many other smaller rocks.

We are going to discuss the island of La Maddalena. The island is located in the Maddalena archipelago, off the northeast coast of Sardinia. It stretches for many kilometers along the coast.

La Maddalena is a town only populated town with about 11,400 habitants. It is situated on the homonymous island in Sardinia, Italy and it is the biggest island in the archipelago. The town is conveniently situated in the middle of the island.

The smaller islands are now uninhabited except for two, Budelli and Caprera. Most visitors usually come to this destination during the summer for the beautiful white sandy beaches and clear water.

The archipelago (is a group of islands) is also well-known for the particular flora and fauna. It’s a paradise for people who love nature and want to go on an exotic vacation.

Every island is different from each other. On the coast there are many beautiful small beaches and hidden bays. Different islands have different topographies. For example, a coastline on one island may be good for diving & snorkeling while a coastline on another island may be great for surfing.

The sea around the island is mixed with many different shades of blue and green. The rocks are made of granite, which are affected by soil and vegetation, brighten the landscape.

The island of Budelli is known for its pink beach, also known as ‘The Pink Beach’. The pink color is the result of the sea shells being crushed by the pressure of millions of years. The beach was closed in 1992 in order to preserve the pinkish layers that deposit on the white sand. We might see The Pink Beach from a distance during our excursion.

This area used to be very important for its central location in the Mediterranean. Admiral Nelson gave the church several gifts in 1805, including some silver metals, to say thanks. Napoleon Bonaparte, which was a young lieutenant in 1793 in the French fleet, tried to conquer the islands of the srchipelago but could not succeed.

The small Italian island of Caprera is located in the Bay of Valletta between Corsica and Sardinia. The island has a rich history with some significant events happening on it. One of them is the death of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who was a well-known general and revolutionary leader. He settled down in this area for over 26 years and in 1882 died on the island of Caprera.

La Maddalena Tour

After a day of sailing and bathing in our Maddalena boat tour, we’ll arrive at the town of La Maddalena in the evening. When you visit this town, it is always nice to take a stroll on the paved streets near the church and main square, do some shopping, buy some souvenirs, get a delicious ice cream or do a coffee break before you get back on the boat.
